Wow what a year of wonderful events so far.
The X-Collective show "Pick a Box" was another success with a wide variety of music to cover all tastes. You haven't lived untill you've seen "Staying Alive" (by the Bee Gee's) performed in the style of "Bollywood"!
We have had two very productive workshops which have taken place at the
Moranbah State Preschool which has been a wonderful creative area to spread out and make the back drops for the African children’s Choir. Jill Nixon has been amazing and come up with some great African based ideas with Wanda Bennett (textile artist and teacher).
We
couldn't’t have done this without the support of the
following local people:
- Jill Nixon, Wanda Bennett, Fiona & Ross Branch, Eva Davis, Deb Moloney, Barb Giles, Anne O’Leary, Lynnie Busk & Granddaughter, Marg Laughton, Natascha & Bob Grieve, Sonia Widderick & The Anglican Church
We couldn't, have done anything at all without the following funding and support from:
BHPBilliton, Belyando Shire Council, BMA, Queensland Arts Council, Australian Government Australia Council For The Arts and the Moranbah State School.
