Walking by Apple Tree Creek

Written by Ian Brown
A La Boite Theatre Company Production
Directed by Sean Mee
Join two grey nomads, Del (Penny Everingham) and Stan (Bob Newman) on their great Australian dream of selling the house, buying a mobile home and hitting the road. On the road they've faced the Big Prawn, the Big Pineapple, the Big Bull and the Big Avocado. Now they must face the big things in their own lives . . . their past and their future.
Told to a nostalgic soundtrack including Perry Como and Johnny O’Keefe, Walking by Apple Tree Creek is a hauntingly familiar story about loyalty, memories and honesty.

Junior Drama Group Over-Subscribed!!!

Due to over whelming demand, all places in the two junior drama classes have been filled and we are only taking expressions of interest in next term's classes.

Junior Drama Group

We get a lot of enquiries about what opportunities exist for the younger members of our community to be involved in Dramatic Art. Realising that there weren't any existing drama classes or groups outside the school system, we decided we need to do something about that!

Junior Drama Club will be aimed a t Primary School aged children from Prep to Year 7. It will be about having fun, learning new skills and gaining confidence!

Of course a club is not a club without a leader and we are pleased to announce that Fiona Branch and Natascha Grieve will run the club. Fiona and Tash have both demonstrated a continued commitment to the theater. Both leaders hold Blue Cards & First Aid Certificates.

Junior Drama Club will be held on Wednesdays for a six week block each term.

Prep - Year 3: 3:45pm to 4:45pm
Year 4 to Year 7: 5pm to 6pm
Cost: $48 per six week block
plus
$15 single or $20 family Arts Council Membership
Payable on joining the club and remains current for a full year. Membership includes insurance and also provides discounts to all local and most Queensland Arts Council workshops & Shows - statewide.

First Meeting for 2008

The first meeting for 2008 will be on Tuesday the 12th at our regular venue at the Gentle Craft Building behind Lions Den on Bacon Street (near Domino's).
